Genus Hoogenraadia Gauthier-Lièvre & Thomas, 1958

Diagnosis: Test ovoid-globular, overhanging anterior visor often with 2 lateral grooves, incurved ventral lip. Ventral face rounded. Pseudostome more or less round, partly covered by the visor.

Type species: Hoogenraadia africana Gauthier-Lièvre & Thomas, 1958.

Six species, five from the tropics and one from Europe.

Habitat and distribution: acid bogs and swamps or from soils, tropical Africa, South America. Also found in a wetland in the Netherlands (2019).
